That just SAS shtick. I used to not be able to stand the guy. Once I just came to expect that was his thing it became hilarious. In the past I would’ve been like this guy is an idiot but that tweet had me cracking up last night.
Edit: once you get past all his outrageousness he actually makes some good points every now and then

Same. I wish I could find it, but like 6 or 7 years ago I saw an interview SAS did for the local San Antonio paper. Relatively short, very toned down. It was so wildly different from what I thought he was as a person, I thought it was a troll, but I'm pretty sure he was doing it as a favor for the young reporter, and was very congenial throughout.
Ever since then I've just looked at him and other ESPN talking heads as playing parts. They all have schticks carefully choreographed to maximize views.

I don’t watch first take because that format is tired AF but SAS is pretty solid on his radio show. He slaps down callers with idiot takes and it’s funny.
