Lakers in 5… this a terrible matchup for the Nuggets

LeBron never gets criticized? Is that really the angle here?
Read it again, slowly. LeBron Fanbois give him all the credit and none of the blame.

It’s an actual prove it moment for AD. You’re touting him as the best for controlling the paint against a 6’6 Green.
The size advantage isn’t something to hold against Davis, as both players in question have distinct size advantages.
Dominating the paint is a spatial issue. Not exclusively a matchup issue. The game is built on angles, son. That’s why he shut the paint down on the attacking guards.

Still not true. See any number of posts on this board from people like myself, shel, lsupride, reauxl, etc. I don’t know a would who defends him for the Dallas series, for example.

Against a team that is historically at the bottom half of the league in points in the paint.
He did what was expected looking at that matchup

He also dominated on the switch. He dominated the glass. He also dominated Memphis.
But correct he dominated. His dominance is why they are winning.

Only thing he doesn’t dominate is consistency

In a best of 7 series, winning four games guarantees consistently that the better team wins. Davis teams have been closing them out earlier than 7. 4/6 is consistent. But if you’d like to go over LeBrons poor shooting nights in this series, we can do that too.

This Laker team was not expected to be in the Playoffs. When LeBron passed Kareem for the all-time scoring record in February, that was supposed to be the highlight for LeBron this season. And frankly, the team looked like toast.
I give AD a lot of credit for his part in this transformation. The role players are thriving in this offense. They are learning to play defense at a playoff level. The biggest thing about this version of the Lakers is their growth. Every round they are getting better. Really amazing folks.

This Laker team, before the trade deadline, was not expected to be in the playoffs. Fixed it for you

AD didn’t cause
The Warriors to miss threes, his D made them shoot more threes than they wanted.

Yeah. The warriors definitely aren’t known for jacking up 3s.

big jok will take AD to school and they are gonna make lebron defend all those cuts something he has not done much of.

I am not sure what you are talking about.

In all their previous matchups which player usually outplays the other
Posted on 5/13/23 at 1:10 pm to SulphursFinest
Just because the Warriors shoot a lot of 3s doesn’t mean they don’t use the paint big time as part of their offense. They rely on ball movement to get quality open looks behind the arc. Driving and drawing an extra defender is a huge part of that. With Anthony Davis controlling the paint, the extra defender can depend on Davis to protect the drive and everyone else can switch to contest shooters. They are reliant on Davis to be amazing here and when he is, the Warriors were toast because they did not get the open looks.
Posted on 5/13/23 at 1:11 pm to SulphursFinest
Sure they are. But AD did not cause them to miss more than the 20 they missed. That was just poor shooting.
Posted on 5/13/23 at 1:33 pm to TigerMan327
Big jok is clearly at a level today he has never been at before. He is also consistent. AD defintiely isn’t.

I hope it’s a good series. I see this one going 6 or 7. It’s going to be a tough matchup for my boys. Lakers are clicking on all cylinders right now. We need more consistency out of MPJ and KCP. Murray and Jokic will keep showing up.
