I don’t know what the issues would have been since the Wizards were on the road. If there was some other conflict then the series should have started on Wednesday and resumed on Friday.

There are indoor football teams and a minor league hockey team that plays there. So that might be why.

Ah. That explains it then. It is fascinating how quickly arena gets transformed from one event to the next. I remember Kings had to push back the start time way late one year to accommodate the Lakers who had a home game the same day. How much fun would it be to coordinate the Staples Center if Kings, Lakers, and Clippers all had home games around the same time?
