What is RNH cap number? I know Pacioretty is 4.5. If they take Tkachuck and just plant him in Montreal. I’m not sure that isn’t a bad trade

max for RNH straight up? would be a solid salary dump for Edmonton , who needs it with the McDavid contract extension hitting the books

I’d do it, but the numbers don’t work I don’t think RNH needs out of Edmonton and Max is wasting his career after they did the worst trade in NHL history

the troy Brouwer contract is awful but aside from that, Calgary actually has some cap space to work with . travis harmonic at 3.8 m isn't great either.
matt Tkachuk will be due a rather large extension soon, though. If they let him walk for some reason i'm totally done with Cal

Trades I’m not sure I like that though. I think you keep 3 of them and trade the others. You take Tkachuck at 4. If he’s not there you trade it and get a player in theNHL that can score

yeah I agree, too many picks at once in the NHL isn't exactly wonderful. although I think your AHL team was dead last so maybe montreal can draft them some players

I know not entirely conventional. But if I was in a rebuild I’d go get 9 skaters that can just fly and a goalie that is decent. Speed kills and makes up for a ton of things. Get the fastest skaters at position and hope your goalie can hold up.
