But damn does he suck on defense...
Ding! Tell him what he's won, Monty! 0-6 vs Spurs. I didn't know that.

And Paul, D.Will, Chauncey, etc....all light him up like a Christmas tree.
None of whom he'd play in the conference finals (the Jazz aren't beating the Lakers).

If this was true, he would have figured out a way to get them past SA by now.
Really? Is he a coach now?

FWIW - Steve Nash vs. the Spurs in the playoffs alltime is 0-6. He failed twice with Dallas, and so far four times with Phoenix.
Yes, and obviously Steve Nash...excuse me, Phoenix, had home court in each of those series. In one of the series with Dallas, Dirk was injured, and they lost one series to the Spurs in which the suspensions of Stoudamire and Diaw played at least a small role in deciding Game 6.
San Antonio had the better team in at least 5 of those 6 series, and the better team usually wins in the playoffs. To suggest that the Spurs won those series because Stave Nash sucks on defense is a tad ridiculous. I don't think he's the best point guard in the league anymore, FYI, but your logic is severely flawed.

bullshite. His defensive liability is partially why Phoenix hasn't even won a fricking conference title during his time there.
Yeah, I suppose being in a conference with the Spurs and Lakers, who have two of the most dominant players of the past decade, has absolutely nothing to do with that fact...

so just because he hasnt made it past the spurs and into the finals means he cant be the best in the league?
then you wouldnt be able to make the argument for paul or williams as the best if you go by that standard

No relevance. Steven ain't the best buddy. So you're already mailing it in for the next round huh? Nice. Good luck.

comparing the offensive stats of a run and gun team to a halfcourt team is stupid. nash's stats in a run and gun offense aren't even as good as paul

So wait...Stevie alone is responsible for winning this game because of his greatness...
...but has no hand in losing a series because of shitty defense.

Dirk was injured during the series...but if that makes it irrelevant, then Phoenix's win over San Antonio in the 00' playoffs gets an asterisk because Timmy was out the whole series? Please?

Then they are just as dumb as the fans are. Rules are rules. But the excuses are nice...

The Spurs used to beat Phoenix while running with them. Look at the 05' conf. finals...San Antonio ran their asses out of the arena and that was in Phoenix. Steve sucking on defense allowed Parker to look brilliant and run the show in that series.

So all of a sudden Nash isn't that good then?

the true elites find a way to get there. Even that pussy Garnett got there with enough help.
As much as the Jazz failed in the grand scheme of things, Malone and Stockton won a conf. title. And they lost to a team who had one of the greatest of all time, if not THE greatest.

That's not the only standard I go by. I thought I mentioned shitty defense. The turnovers were pointed out earlier as well. Also...Nash has quite a few years on Paul and Williams.

Is it me, or does Steve Nash look like Dave England from Jackass???
