Because it doesn't matter what the score was at the time of the forfeit. A forfeited nine inning game is officially recorded as a 9-0 loss for the forfeiting team.

So when they win their appeal what will happen? Will they go back and resume the game where it was forfeited, call the game a 2-1 win for SU, or just rule it as a cancelled game?
