Only reason fr qb played was because the backup had COVID contact and missed some games

They can't enforce it. Try fitting 30 kids in a classroom all 6 feet apart.
So when a kid tests positive, everybody who sat in front of, behind, to the sides of, and diagonal from the kid gets sent home. Multiply that X4 if they're on a block schedule and you're sending up to 24 kids home for each single case. And that's not including things like football players testing positive after they play a game or practice.
