This... smh browns...
I think a lot like the Richardson trade, people are going to look back at this and realize it wasn't that bad. I'm not sure exactly what transpired, but I'm sure Lombardi felt like a guy that had already been fired twice by the organization probably wasn't qualified to lead the organization in a new era. Maybe the owner was adamant about giving him a chance, then it became Lombardi's call after Year 1? Maybe in a year where neither the Ravens nor the Steelers were good enough to make the playoffs, management was not satisfied with STILL finishing last in the division? I have no idea.
Either way, the Browns are extremely talented on D and some parts of their offense. They must get a better QB, though, some more OL help, and another weapon at either WR or RB.
They have 10 draft picks. One in each round and 2 1st, 2 3rd, and 2 4th rounders. There will be some movement. They're going to be really fun team to watch in the offseason.

They seem to be a lot better in NE when he's there.
Agreed, same can be said that teams play much better defense when Wade Phillips is around. It means that they are both very good coordinators but terrible HC's.

Dennis Allen deserves another year. At least.
He inherited a team in cap hell and kept them competitive, for the most part.

I agree. If it were Al Davis, he'd probably be fired. There's always a surprise though. I just mainly think that should be the "Your Fired" meme now. If you're going to sit front row holding a sign, at least spell it right.
