I wouldn't call VTech a lesser job. If anything it would be a lateral move. It would be a lateral move to his alma mater. Not to mention the road to the playoffs in the ACC will always be a bit easier than playing in the SEC.
However, if he goes to Tech, he will always love in the shadow of his own father, which is probably something that he doesn't want to have to deal with.
