Maybe Russillo will be the new guy they try to push forward Grantland with. He's a younger, cool guy who they probably feel will appease Grantland's fans.
I did read that ESPN wanted to continue the BS Report with a new host. I bet they're leaking shite like that just to piss off Simmons.

I could see that. Especially since Grantland catered a lot to NBA and Rusillo is a pretty good NBA guy.

Rusillo kind of seems like he's gotten the big head recently. I still like him but he can be douchey at times.

shitty news. SVP, Russillo, Lebatard, and Gotz are the few hosts that don't take sports too seriously. That is sorely needed in this Mike the Mad Dog Russo environment that we live in.

This. Being partnered with Scott has allowed him to take swipes at people he normally wouldn't be able to, because Scott can laugh at it and they can treat it as a joke. SVP is the human lol text.

This is honestly depressing. I don't quite understand why espn would want svp on the midnight SC when the radio show is constantly trending up and they kill it with the younger demographic. Obviously svp got a raise but he's talked about how much he enjoys doing the show and being able to give his analysis, not just reporting the news like on SC.
I can't see russillo heading up grantland. Could definitely see him taking over the podcast but him and bill are pretty friendly and that would be a bit of a slap in the face. Would not surprise me at all if russillo ends up wherever simmons is in a few months.
