True, but my point is why should ORegon get rewarded for going 5-0 or 6-0, but a team like A&M plays 10 conference games, goes 9-1, and has only 1 loss on the road to the number 1 team in the country?
It doesn't make any sense. The Pac-12 and the Big-10 should never have pushed their season back.

Your argument is legit. But the “playoff” is and will be illegitimate until they add all conference champions

Agreed. The playoff IMO should be 8 teams:
5 P5 Champions
2 Highest Ranked At-Large P5 Teams
Highest Ranked Group of 5.
