Yeah it went from players should be able to get compensation for being in video games and be able to sell jerseys to openly paying players millions straight up for no reason. NIL by itself isn’t bad but it’s horrible when you combine it with unlimited transfers and free agency. The NFL doesn’t operate like that because it’s an unsustainable model.

Is that actual school scholarship linked to NIL at all? Couldn't the institutions, or perhaps NCAA, regulate scholarships and enrollment?
