as weird as this is, it just looks like TCU has better positional awareness in terms of where they are on the field. Smart cutbacks, good angles on tackles...I could be way off, but it just kinda looks that way to me.

Well I think you are correct at least when it comes to the quarterback position. Wisky QB has 0 awareness.
