No he is a fricking genius

He gets paid a straight up frick ton of money to he nothing but the guy who does what the owners want.

It is an absolute coup to get that job. It is a free money printing press.

Your hardest job is deciding which NFL box to sit in this week.

he owners would get the same result if they hired a law firm to represent them in media/player negotiations and probably pay 75% less.
Do you understand how much money is at stake?

Not to defend ole Rog too much, but determining and executing the wishes of 32 individual rich assholes with their own egos and demands, is probably a bit harder than you’re describing it

Now is that worth 65 mil a year? I doubt it, but I think there’s a middle ground between that and thinking there isn’t challenges in a job like that

What exactly are the challenges?

People will watch the NFL no matter what. Whatever he does is skewered by people but ultimately has absolutely no impact on anything. He does not have anything but a laughable role in regards to owners. And that is that.

It's a job that is impossible to fail

I outlined one in my post. Getting any 32 people on the same page to make large decisions is super difficult. I imagine it doesn’t get any easier when those 32 people are all independently wealthy who aren’t use to not getting their way.

Again we mostly agree, just the hyperbole is a little turned up on your end

The average NFL franchise is worth almost 4 billion dollars, with Dallas coming in at 6.5 billion. That is an 18% increase just from last year. The NFL just negotiated a 100 billion dollar media deal with numerous networks. The league just successfully negotiated a 10-year collective bargaining agreement with no work stoppage. Multiple penalties are continuing to be dealt out against owners, coaches, and players.

We could easily sit here and discuss what have the owners done so that their franchises have more than doubled in the last 10 years? Mostly, been the beneficiaries of a great media contract.

So the rich get richer and it's good to be King, I mean, Commish.

I think the point I am trying to make is that the NFL is like a wildly popular commodity, and the commodity is sold via a single source. Pretty easy sales job.

That's what makes it funny. You're literally this stupid

He's doing EXACTLY what the owners pay him all that money to do: take all the heat off of them.
