quote:
I thought he called Janine Edwards sweet baby during a meeting and she took offense, then ESPN fired him?
He then followed it up by calling her an a-hole.
He sued ESPN, and they settled out of court, when it came out that Jeannie Edwards wasn't the one who notified ESPN, she never filed a compliant, and had accepted his apology the following day.

Ron Franklin working a Saturday evening SEC game was one of life’s more enjoyable extras you sometime get to experience.
He was a truly gifted CFB TV PBP guy. His talent was a real gift from the heavens and I am thankful that I was able to enjoy his work.
You know he was good when trying to listen to today’s batch of screamers.

Auburn LSU Fire Game
I remember exactly where I was watching this game with friends. Franklin did an amazing job.

He’s the best announcer in my lifetime. He made Saturday night special.
Will never forget him calling Auburn games in Knoxville in 2004 and all those years we struggled in Tiger Stadium in the early 2000s.
Something was magical about his voice and the way he called games.
