That’s the important part that this retard wants to ignore. They’re spending with the big programs while giving him a reasonable expectation of winning around 8 games in the ACC with teams like Charlotte, Richmond, Wake Forrest, and Syracuse on their schedule.
And he’s putting a G5 level roster on the field.

It’s pretty simple honestly. UNC made a bowl game last year and had some good players. Not elite by any stretch, but reasonable building blocks and depth pieces. Their outgoing coach is no longer coaching, so this isn’t a situation where the old staff took a bunch of the best players with them.
UNC invested a massive amount of money on staff and talent, and Belichick took that money and hired a staff of his buddies and kids, purged the roster to an unnecessary degree, and overpaid for a collection of G5 talent that no one else was competing for.
In addition, his personal life has been a sideshow and unwelcome PR for the entire university.
There is no path to respectability from here. UNC is right to do what they have to to end this grift and then ensure anyone involved in this hire from the school’s side is not allowed to make any decisions ever again.
