Yes, he played the whole season hurt. His reward was them signing that sexual deviant after the season. Yet they didn’t trade Baker. By the time they did most teams had QBs bit Carolina finally came through. He could have went on IR but chose to play all season. frick the Clowns.

I can't think of a more apathetic fanbase than that of the Buccs and somehow they keep winning the division and have the most Lombardis of the 4 teams. Crazy stuff.

Am I misremembering? I thought Baker walked on at TTU and then when he got hurt and passed up transferred to OU.
Once at OU I thought Kliff tried to not release him, but since he was never on scholly they had not power to do so and so he was allowed to play.
I could be way off.

Thats what I said. Yes, he was TT starter got hurt and when healthy they didn’t restart him. He walked on at OU at first because he wanted to play for OU. Bob had no idea.
Thats the short version. He was a walkon at TT too and they didn’t offer him a scholly. He walked on to OU in Jan and enrolled. Bob found out he was enrolled and thats when all the games started with TT not releasing him. Even though he was not on scholly at TT transfers had to be released by the school. NCAA said he could play but only if school released him because of a B12 rule about transfers within conf. He lost a year of playing because of that.
