I heard that same thing and the Refs were just listening and able to see the same images that B'ham was seeing. If that is the case, its ridiculous. Just have the replay guy relay his ruling to the PA announcer and be done with it.

It’s not like the refs get questioned after the game about their calls anyway. Goober on the field doesn’t need any context to justify his announcement. Just do your job and try to act invisible

If they're helping decide which way to rule on the review I'm 100% with you. If they aren't why the hell are they looking at a screen at all.
