Question regarding the committees “logic”

Hypothetically, if a starting QB was injured/concussed and had to sit for a game or 2, and their team loses those games, but wins all of their other games where the starting QB plays… wouldn’t the committee have to overlook those loses since they “weren’t the same team”?

It depends on who that hypothetical team is, everyone knows that.

That is a great point.

Or do those games matter since it is a team sport?

When is it a team sport and when is it an individual sport?

Is that team Bama? Then yes. Is it anyone else? Then no.
