QBs were better in 70s

Arguably the worst decade for QBs. 50s and 60s were better than that decade and every decade since has been better.

Part of the problem is I think draft scouting is terrible, too many GMs/Owners listen to clowns like Kiper and Todd McShay and fall for the hype they give to undeserving QBs.

On no planet should Bo Nix, Cam Ward, JJ McCarthy, Caleb Williams, or Jaxson Dart be considered a good QB, specially not planet earth.

Was Aaron Brooks really a bad QB though?

Dude could sling it and I remember him having numerous good games passing. I just remember that he really didn’t give a shite about whether they won or lost and just wanted to get paid.

I hate the running QB style of play.

Everyone go deep, once the DBs are all turned around we take off running because it was all a fake passing play.

Passing game is the best part of football. Now it’s just a decoy and it sucks to watch.

What is sad is the QBs today have the rules in their favor to pad their numbers.

Even though online play isn’t as good across the league, typical pocket QB’s are getting late hit and high lowed well after releasing the ball.

I’ve seen extra hits and piling on when it’s readily apparent the pocket passer was not going to run and was simply giving himself up for the tackle.

The NFL is trending to the dual threat QB. It is what the league wants to market and protect.
