This is the first Preakness infield I haven't attended in a few years. Below is my favorite infield photo

Good. As someone who has to deal with how they treat the fg, I'm happy for them to get get all kinds of bad publicity.

LOL. I can totally see that! So Joe Pesci and Wilfred Brimley already in the movie. Who plays the others?

Oh, and it already has its theme song as well,

"...with your chrome heart shining in the sun, long may you run..."

Sorry pal, it wasn't that good of a close. Just like I said, if you can't see it, I can't help you. Oh and one of the few people on here who's opinion I respect said the exact same thing.

I'm heading out to spend time with my "Cajun chrome"

Is Cajun Crome really your horse? Just asking cause I seen him run his last race. I was eyeing up One Voice as a horse I was thinking of claiming out that race.

Just because he's going up against a hell of a horse in CC, doesn't mean Ride on Curlin's close wasn't impressive.

Seriously, he went from 6 lengths back going in to the last turn, took the outside, and ended up finishing 2nd by 6 lengths...how the hell is that not a good close?

Simple. He used most of his horse trying to catch Chrome in the turn. He didn't. It's not hard to make a big move on the turn when other horses haven't even asked. From the head of the lane to the finish he made up 1-2 lengths. How can you consider that a big close? He ran a hell of a race, but the only horses he passed were tired. The one horse that wasn't tired, he couldn't catch. I guess what I don't get is how you don't put any stock on the fact that Victor didn't burn his horse up. Chrome more than likely could have won that race by much more, but Victor was trying to save a little. Good jockey's will ease up when they know they have the race won. This isn't Perry Outz riding some $1500 claimer at River Downs.

Nope. Mine got claimed at fg and I'm a ways away from the yearling running.

Who you have horses with?

I just looked. He has been laid up since January when he ran against One Voice and that was at Delta. Trainer is running at La Downs right now though.

I lost one from a claim Thursday so I will be trying to claim one tonight at EVD though.

LOve that overhead shot, you can really see that ROC really couldn't get within about 2 lengths at the end.

This is a quote from earlier in the thread by someone else. Get it yet? He wasn't getting to Chrome ever, we like to call that "close" something called "passed tiring rivals". Big difference.

We work out of St Bernard parish. Small time operation. Trainer has just his and my horses. You with a known trainer?

From Feb to the end of the meet I put in 9 claims and got out shook for everyone. Would you tell me the name of the horse that got claimed from you? I am curious if I put in a claim for him.

I'm not really with a trainer, just married to an assistant. Hoping my baby will be a runner.

That claimer was my first winner as an owner and I only had half.

Bad asset was his name.

Bad Asset is best name ever for a racehorse.

By the way, ROC's jockey Joel Rosario's quote was he thought he had the winner turning for home, but then "he took off again."

He was a neat horse. Sweet and super sound. I miss him.

May or may not have had fun yelling run bad arse down the stretch.
