Just prayed for him. I’m a die hard LSU fan but I try to model my coaching after coach Rob

I used to ride my bike to his baseball camps at the REC in Crowley. Love that guy. Hope he pulls through

People down voting this? And the OP? There are some sick and despicable people in this world and on this board.
At least ID yourselves and own up to it.

Maybe they are just down-voting the situation?

Over 5 years here...Why are you surprised by this on this site?

If he had open heart surgery, he didn’t have stents placed. They bypassed the blockages with grafts. Now he might have had stents placed and they are reporting open heart surgery incorrectly.
Eh, he could have had stents places first, and either had more blockage after or a complication. Based on what the other guy was saying the complication could be the punctured a hole in one of the arteries during stent placement. And thus, the second surgery was to fix the first

yeah, voting in situations like this always confused me..
if i upvote does it look like i'm upvoting a terrible thing..
i just choose not to vote on these things..

Robe is still young, can’t see him walking away unless he’s basically forced to by his health.

I always thought he’d just one day retire out of nowhere to spend time with his family.

Very true. They might have tried to stent and punctured the artery, then had to have bypass to fix that issue. Or the stent failed and had to do a bypass. Very plausible options.

I’m hearing some bad news. Hope it’s not correct.

Guys I work with are all huge ULL baseball fanatics. They are telling me he wasn't expected to make it through this past weekend. That he is not conscious.

Pretty much what Kracka just said.

That’s awful news
Mr grandfather had triple by pass heart surgery at 80 yrs old and was able to make it out.
I assumed that when they treated him early everything would be fine. So the last bit of news is he’s still unconscious?

I have strongly considered texting the guy who's family the park is named after to ask him. He'd know...

The character of the man surpasses his coaching achievements. He is a man who had a set of principles and fully lived his entire life up until this point by those principles. It’s hard to find that type of person in the world. My alma mater has been lucky to have him as a part of it and our community is enriched by his presence. I don’t care if he ever coaches again, I just want him to get through this.
