Robert “The Real Deal” Trujillo vs. Paul “Ninja Turtle” Teague: (Coin Toss Winner: Teague)
Prediction: Trujillo def Teague
It’s been a while since we’ve seen either of these strikers in the Power Slap arena as competitors. Trujillo’s last match was a TKO win over Jewel Scott in the lightweight division. Trujillo also coached the red corner during the live event in Power Slap 2.
His opponent, Paul Teague, hasn’t step foot in the Apex since his loss to Slap Jesus back in a qualifier match in November of 2022.
With the lightweight division being so slim with competition, this will be the second time ever we’ll see a lightweight match. The first match (Trujillo vs Scott) was the first-ever live stream match on the Rumble app.
I think this one comes down to experience and skill. Trujillo brings two wins on his resume while Teague has only participated in one match so far. Trujillo showed us he had power and a strong chin in his last match when he was able to take two of Jewel Scott’s slaps while getting the 2nd round TKO in the process.
In Teague’s lone match against Slap Jesus, he was able to get a good powerful slap on Mike Smith but was called for stepping penalty in the process. Teague will be the bigger striker in his one but I’m not sure that will matter. I could see this match going to a three round decision, but it likely ends in Robert Trujillo getting the TKO.

Cody “The Kraken” Vallo vs. Kalani “Toko” Vakameilalo: (Coin Toss Winner: Vakameilalo)
Prediction: Vakameilalo def Vallo
Two strikers will be making their Power Slap debuts in his match which features plenty of unknowns. What we do know is Vakameilalo is a former college football player for the Oregon St Beavers in 2018.
From his time in college he weighed 330+ points so expect another large Hawaiian to keep the crowd rowdy early in the live event. As far as Vallo, most Power Slap viewers won’t know much about him until weigh-ins. It’s hard to really give a prediction in this match considering we are yet to see either striker in the Power Slap arena. But the Hawaiians have had a good run of success on the Power Slap stage so I’ll go with Vakameilalo in this one. As far as it comes to betting on this one, I’d stay away until more details are known about each individual.

Wesley “All the Smoke” Drain (2) vs. Amir “The Comeback Kid” Nuriddeen (4): (Coin Toss Winner: Drain)
Prediction: Drain def Nuriddeen

This match could have “fight of the night” written all over it. Both strikers are coming off losses in their previous matches. Wesley took off Power Slap 3 after his contested loss to John Davis for the middleweight championship. Amir Nuriddeen almost pulled off the win over top middleweight contender Azael Rodriguez in Power Slap 3, but Azael was able to recover and respond with a 2nd round TKO. The winner of this match will likely line themselves up for a contender match in a future event of the middleweight title.
I like the improvements that I have seen from Amir so far in his past two appearances on the Power Slap stage, but he’ll need to hit Wesley Drain on the button if he wants to be the first striker to put him on the ground. Drain has been rocked by Jon Kennedy and Emmanuel Muniz in previous matches but his chin has held up.
The one area of Drain’s game that is questionable has been his striking power. He has one TKO in his career and it was to Jon Kennedy in a qualifier last year. On the other end, Nuriddeen has been knocked out in two of his three matches so his durability is also in question.
I’ll take Wesley Drain in this match because he’s shown he can take a slap from some of the top strikers in Power Slap. Drain’s matches usually go to decision, so I see that being the case here again.

Cole “Full Send” Young (4) vs. Jewel “Kidd Diamond” Scott (6): (Coin Toss Winner: Scott)
Prediction: Scott def Young
The only welterweight match of the night features two strikers going in opposite directions heading into Power Slap 4. Cole Young was last seen in a contender match against Emmanuel Muniz in which he lost in a decision. Young’s decision to go barefoot on the Power Slap stage was a bit questionable and he’s now stands at 1-1-1 in his career so far. He’ll have to go back to the drawing board as he’s had a hard time finding the same success he had against Jay Rivero in his debut which resulted in the TKO victory.
His opponent, Jewel Scott, may have had the easiest match during Power Slap 3 as he got victory over Andrew Field because of a three foul DQ by Fields. Jewel sits at 3-1 in the welterweight division and feels disrespected with his #6 rankings. He’s still searching for another TKO since his first career match against Anthony Green.
Cole Young has yet to be knocked down yet so I’m not expecting a knockout in this match. It seems that he may be in his own head following his loss so whoever lands the cleanest slaps will win this one. Scott has put in the work to define his strike and he’s the one currently riding the momentum going into August 9th.

Dorian “Disturbing the Peace” Perez (2) vs James “Sassbilly” Stonier (5): (Coin Toss Winner: Perez)
Prediction: Perez def Stonier

Dorian Perez’s undefeated record came to an end during Power Slap 3 with a loss to Duane Crespo in a contender match in the heavyweight division. We learned a lot about both strikers in that one, especially Perez, who essentially looks to have one of the best chins in Power Slap. While he didn’t get the win, he let everyone know it’s going to take a whole lot to put him on the ground.
James Stonier is making his second appearance in Power Slap coming off a win to Kamil Marusarz in a super heavyweight match. The one thing that stood out to me about Sassbilly was how massive his hands appear to be. He definitely has the ability to put his opponents on their back and with some training since his last appearance he may do that in this one.
I think Perez’s loss to Crespo humbled him and he’s determined to get back in the win column. Experience will pay off big time in this one has Perez is entering the Power Slap stage for the sixth time and he’s taken some solid strikes in his previous matches.
Stonier is coming in a little too confident for me. His last opponent, Marusarz, didn’t look very comfortable in his debut as we witnessed in the 3rd round of their match. With the step up in competition, Perez should be able to get an early TKO or win by decision.

Da Crazy Hawaiian (2) vs. Kamil “Polar Bear” Marusarz (5): (Coin Toss Winner: Marusarz)
Prediction: Hawaiian def Marusarz

Like I mentioned in the previous match, Kamil Marusarz didn’t really strike me as someone who looked comfortable in the Power Slap arena. His loss to Stonier left a lot to be desired as he was unable to get a 3rd round slap because of a: 60 clock recovery violation.
Da Crazy Hawaiian enters Power Slap 4 with a win over his good friend Micah Seiuli and now sits at the #2 spot in the super heavyweight division. Hawaiian has plenty of slap experience from other slap outlets so that should make him the favorite even with him losing the coin toss.
Personally, I haven’t really gotten too excited about the super heavyweight matches. This one should go as predicted with Da Crazy Hawaiian winning and setting himself up for a possible title matchup against his brother the Hawaiian Hitman.

Duane “The Iron Giant” Crespo (1) vs. Nate “The Buffalo Soldier” Burnard (4): (Coin Toss Winner: Burnard)
Prediction: Crespo def Burnard

This match is so intriguing to me because it could go so many ways. We’ll start with the Nate Burnard who’s seeing himself in a co-main event after just one match. The Buffalo Soldier is a former college football defensive lineman whose large stature packs a lot of power. His knockout had the UFC announcers in shock during his match after the UFC weigh-ins.
Duane Crespo is one of the best technical strikers in Power Slap with his unique windup. With a win in Power Slap 4, he’ll get a rematch for the heavyweight title against Damien Dibbell, but it won’t be easy. We’ve seen Crespo get knocked out cold against Dibbell who has a similar body build as Burnard.
With Burnard’s power and Crespo’s previous result against someone like Dibbell, I question whether we could see a similar result. This match could end in another “one and done” if Burnard is able to get a clean strike on Crespo as a result.
That being said, if Crespo is able to take a slap in Round 1, he can return the favor and put Nate to sleep. Burnard’s chin is untested so we have no idea how capable he’ll be able to survive the strike. My prediction in this one is Crespo by TKO, but I’m more confident someone will end up on their back.

Ayjay “Static” Hintz (1) vs. Austin “Turp Daddy Slim” Turpin (2): (Coin Toss Winner: Hintz)
Prediction: Hintz def Turpin

The main event will live up to expectations as Ayjay Hintz is looking to rebound from his first loss in a Power Slap live event. Austin Turpin enters with a 3-0 record after a 1st round TKO over Alan Klingbeil in Power Slap 3.
Ayjay looked to have taken his last opponent seriously with his focused demeanor and I expect the same from him as he’s looking to avoid back to back losses. Turpin will have his biggest test yet in competition and likely the strongest striker he’s yet to face.
While the shite-talking will continue through weigh-ins I expect Ayjay’s cool composure to keep him focused on the goal and that’s an early knockout to Turp Daddy Slim.
To Austin’s credit, he’s improved in each of his three matches. He was able to survive Klingbeil’s quick strike assuring us that his chin is capable of taking a solid slap. I just don’t think it will be able to hold up over multiple rounds. Ayjay has knocked out some solid strikers so far in his career and even left Ron Bata stunned in his recent title match. Give me Hintz in a 1st or 2nd round TKO and serve Turpin his first loss in Power Slap.
