What an absurd take on history.

First of all, cultures and empires from all over the world tried to invade Europe for centuries. Notably the Mongols, Ottomans, and Moors. That’s two from Asia and one from North Africa. All three cultures held dominion over large swathes of Europe for centuries, the Ottomans as recently as the 1800’s.

All three empires turned European prisoners of war into slaves. The Barbary Slave trade was active until the early 1800’s. The US fought and won a war against the Barbary states, African countries, bc the Barbary states were committing acts of piracy and slavery on US merchant marine ships.

During the age of exploration indigenous cultures in Africa and the Americas waged wars of conquest and committed atrocities on each other all the time. They took each other as slaves and sold each other as slaves.

To sum, any idea of moral superiority on behalf of non-European cultures is such horseshite. The entire world for thousands of years was built on tribal conflict and warfare. Everyone acted that way. The Europeans, because of confluence of guns, germs, and steel just happened to be the best at it at the right time.

Only extremely recently, in terms of overall human history, has the idea that everyone should be treated equally regardless of tribe come to the forefront. Which to clarify, is obviously a much better mindset than our ancestors. But there’s no moral inferiority just bc European cultures ultimately emerged successful in millennia long struggle for dominance

Dark days back at the mothership. I won’t hate on these guys for speaking their minds, because some of the shite that was said was out of line, but much of what I saw was that they didn’t like having to leave black urban culture at the door. Tough to wear a mask your whole life trying to please others—I struggle with that daily.

I can’t imagine some meathead like Chris Doyle telling me he was going to send me back to the streets if I didn’t watch it, when I came from a dual income upper middle class family.

Doyle is gone. Ferentz will likely survive as parents And players of all race and class Will line up for the guy. But id look for Iowa to enter into a Minnesota like dark age in Football here.
