I don't think they would be laughing if the CBS execs decided to pull the plug on broadcasting the Masters.

They'd laugh their asses off at CBS if they tried that shite.

You realize Augusta is the alpha in the relationship, right? They intentionally have one-year contracts to keep CBS in line.

But keep up your fantasyland hopes.

You do know that Augusta doesn’t need to broadcast the tournament, right? They can survive just fine on patrons and member dues alone.

They also stream the entire tourney online for free. Every single hole has coverage. Espn and CBS are lucky to get what they get.

They have one year contracts with CBS because that's what the green jackets want.

CBS had to beg and plead with the members to allow them to show the front 9. They don’t need any tv coverage

And who do you think provides the equipment & personnel to make that coverage available?

Not CBS. If they did they would absolutely have their logo somewhere on the app

It's obvious by your posts that you've never worked a day in the TV broadcast industry.

The bullshite commercial that Southern Co. ran during their tournament last year was disgusting.

They don’t even really charge CBS market rate for the rights. It’s a small fee. The concessions and tickets are cheap as well. Augusta National doesn’t need the money.

NBC and Golf Channel would gladly take that next contract if CBS pulled some shite.

As I said before, CBS is left of CNN now
