They don’t have to match because the Suns are under the cap. KAT only makes 7 mil next season.
KAT sucks on defense, but he’s still a good number 1 pick. If you can trade the pick and Bender or Chriss for KAT, I think you do it.

Honestly I’d prefer to gamble on Doncic. I don’t see any way that he will be a bust and he has superstar potential.
Ayton is obviously a good choice as well. Now if SA offers Kawhi I think you take that.
