I kid you not. Just saw this on my homepage when browsing through it.

Seems PETA, or as I call them, PITA, think calling the area pitchers warm up a Bull Pen "devalues talented players and mocks the misery of sensitive animals"-----again, I kid you not.

The U.S. is turning in "Clown World" faster than I can fathom.

This is why it angers me every time someone sees something like this and says "who cares? Change the name of it. It won't hurt anyone".

When you allow people to decide that ANYTHING can be racist, or sexist, or in any way "insensitive", you eventually run out of things you can say, without the fear of repercussion. This is why it matters to stand on some freaking principles once in a while, instead of just getting out of the way to avoid confrontation.

While true. No one has ever listened to PETA on these kinds of things.

Well, I'm not reading through hundreds of posts to see if it was already mentioned.

I know, but I'm speaking to the entire cancel culture, particularly in how it has targeted speech. Too many people through the years have been quick to give in, because they figure it will save them some trouble. How wrong they were/are.
