Carlos Zambrano...huge douche- I walked up to him at a casino for an autograph and his entourage had me kicked out. John Rocker was pretty cool. He came in to a bar I was bouncing at with a bit tittied milf. Also, met Coolio the same way. He was weird. Michael Strahan was cool. I stayed across the hall from him and his girlfriend at the time at W in NOLA.

The only time I have ever really met and talked to any athlete was at a Chili's in Gonzales where I ran into Michael Lewis. He was sitting next to us and I didn't even realize it until halfway through the dinner. Once I did I turned to him and said Saints football isn't the same without you returning kicks. He laughed and shook my hand and proceeded to introduce me to his entire table. Had about a 10 minute conversation about what he does for the Saints now and he was generally interested in hearing what I had to say as well. Seriously one of the nicest human beings I have ever ran into.

Grew up with Josh Chapman, starting NT for the Indianapolis Colts. Hung out with him once this summer.
Met Bart Starr several times. He used to come into this carwash I worked at in HS and get his shoes shined. He also used to eat at the Golden Corral in Hoover a lot. Great guy.
Stan White wasn't a prominent pro but played in the NFL and led AU to an undefeated season in 93. I had several conversations with him over the last year. We talked about his young sons pee wee football career and how he better play for AU should he be offered. We also talked about him and Rod Bramblett calling the Kick Six and him hearing his voice all over ESPN and TV when they played that highlight.

Recently met Fred "The Hammer" Williamson. He was a big time football player back in the '60s - won a few AFL Championships and played in the first Superbowl. Went on to be an actor & producer, starring in blaxploitation films in the '70s, several with Jim Brown and Jim Kelly. He was in the original MASH movie and was the badass black dude in "Dusk til Dawn' with Clooney and Tarantino. He was a special guest at a martial arts tournament in D.C. that my son competed in, then he was in the van with us on the ride back to the airport. We talked with him and took some pics with him at the airport. Super nice guy, but still a total badass in great shape - and ladies man - in his '70s. When he posed with my wife, he had his arm around her waist and had a nice and tight grip on her, pulling her closer to him while I fiddled with the camera.
The dude has a major presence about him for sure.

I lived in WCA when I was at LSU and chilled with a lot of football players. Jarvis Landry, Lavar Edwards, Brandon Taylor, and Mo Claiborne were awesome. Drake Nevis is the quietest guy I've ever met. Odell Beckham acted like a wannabe thug his first two years at LSU but matured a lot his junior year. Also met Keenan Lewis and Mike Wallace last summer at Oakwood Mall. Keenan was very personable but Mike looked pissed when I want up to converse with them.

My dad was checking into his room and having trouble with his key, when approached by Wilt Chamberlain who was wondering why my dad was trying to break into his room. Dad looked at key and he was at the wrong door, said sorry and left.
Bo Pellini cool as hell, dog shite on the airplane and crew came back we pulled out another and away they went.
Ryan Perilloux was a summer intern and I took him for his drug screen, the heat of summer and he had on a LSU tobagan hat with a ball on top. Stayed on phone the whole time, got tired of waiting and walked out.
Jacob Hester straight up nice well grounded guy
Saban cool, very time conscious asked questions but not a pain
Jimbo Fisher flew him to visit Jarrett Lee in Brenham Texas, ate lunch at airport and talked football, cocky dude, but ok. Kept getting calls from Terry Bowden, I told him I liked the Bowdens and he handed me the phone to say hello, Bowden said something about don't let Buckethead (fishers nickname apparently) keep you out too late or some nonsense.
Y.A Tittle very nice man
George Foreman cool as hell
The Dooley dude who coached Tennessee, picked him up in Miami and took him to Ruston. Squirrel tried to be all forceful and Saban like without the presence or persona
Mike Tyson, met him in Scottsdale and talked boxing for a good long time. He is no dummy by any means. I liked him.
Alex Karras met him in 2011 or so in California, was starting to be slowed by dementia and old injuries, very sad
That's all I got

Through my cousin, who was an atty for the Mavericks back then, I was introduced to Shaq outside their lockeroom, post game, & he was super nice. But he made me laugh when he pointed to several hot groupie types lining the hallway, waiting for the players, and said:" this is the greatest perk in the NBA". Tried to get Randy Johnson's autograph back when he was in his prime, my 12 yr old son in tow, he was just sitting, not eating or drinking, at a table in the food court of a mall, he gave my son the most angriest look imaginable & stood up & walked away.
