Good for German. Wasn’t he booed off the field by Yankees fans last start?

When everything is working German's stuff will translate, but last night it was pure art. The curveball was magnificent last night. It really was his outpitch. But his changeup and fastball were on point as well. There was a 24-minute wait in the 5th as the Yankees scored 6 runs and I did worry he would get out of rhythm, but he simply dug in and never missed a beat. But man, those last 3 innings were nerve-racking as ever in this situation and it's where so many pitchers cough up their spleen in similar situations. German never flinched and the defense, especially Rizzo, was great.
A perfect game is just crazy to think about. So many great pitchers have never sniffed a no-hitter but German will be forever remembered as 27 up and 27 down. It's also crazy to think but of the 24 perfect games thrown, the Yankees have 4 of them. Most by any team.
In a so-so year for the men in stripes, that was historically special.

Got so excited he dropped his PEDs and ran over his girlfriend to celebrate in the clubhouse, but got his hand stuck to the doorknob.

Nice accomplishment.
But the fricking A's rank 30/30 in batting and should be a Triple A club.
