A head coach and high ranking members of an administration knew of some terrible shite and basically tried to cover it up or keep it quiet. The NCAA has every right in this case.

Defend them? You fricking moron did the NCAA Slap probation on NU for Phillips and the Peter Brothers? They got OU for changing grades and benefits not for Charles Thompson running a major Coke ring.
Vengeance is fine but do it the right way. The NCAA screwed up Penn St just like they did Miami and UNC.
If Penn St changed grades paid people or gained an competitive advantage then hammer them, otherwise let the courts handle it like they did.

It's time to move on. Neither Franklin of these players who've worked hard to turn this season around had nothing to do with this. Sandusky is locked up,Joe Pa has passed. The sanctions would have been lifted last season anyway. Those who were responsible are paying the price.
