As for the PAT, I think this is a good move. As it stands now, it's a play that adds next to nothing to the game. A TD is scored and you basically have a solid 5 minutes of nothing while they kick the (essentially automatic) PAT, go to commercial, kickoff through the endzone, go to commercial, and then finally have the other offense come back out. At least give coaches a little extra thought to going for 2 more often. A more difficult PAT (or different risk/reward in going for 2) brings in more strategy for coaches. I don't understand why everybody has their panties in a wad about this.
ETA just realized I'm agreeing with Verlander. shite, I might have to re-think my stance here and get back to y'all.
