I doubt any Penn state or paterino family member is pro child fricking.
But JoePa was CLEARLY against reporting friends who are child molesters -- especially when it could have hurt his football program.

Where do you people get this shite from?

Then another e-mail went out the next day where the President of the University said he and Paterno had met the night before and decided to keep mum and not contact the authorities.
So we are just making shite up now? Really? What next? Lennay Kakua is real?

Joe Paterno was a politician? I was not aware of this. This is no way deals with politics. It's fine on this board. Deals with blind culture of football program at Penn State.

If he had no problem with turning in Sandusky to the police then why didn't it happen? The other possibility is he was covering it up to protect the football program.

I read the Freeh report.
Did YOU?

Did you read the Freeh report?
Given your completely asinine response -- I already know the answer to that.

You do realize that Sandusky is in jail now right?
What would you do if you were given secondhand information about your friend from a person who wasn't even sure about what they saw? It's not like JoePa did absolutely nothing. He told his superiors and let them handle it. He's not the law. He's not the one who saw it go down.
My big question is, why didn't Michael McQueary do more? Why did he go to Joe and not the cops? Why didn't he confront Jerry? Why didn't he follow up? Everyone wants to put this whole thing on Joe but ignore McQueary.

You can't be this f*cking ignorant.
JoePa was THE LAW on the Penn State campus. JoePa's "superiors" had agreed to turn in Sandusky. The NEXT DAY, the President sent out an e-mail saying that despite the agreement they all made (including JoePa), after having a follow-up meeting with ONLY JoePa that night, they (i.e., JoePa and him) decided (for the rest of them) that they weren't going to go to the authorities.
Read the f*cking report.

I don't. They should both fry in hell for what they didn't do.

See when you say shite like this, no one can believe anything you say because it was never, and has never been true. You're making an arse out of yourself.

Prove it.

The Freeh Report? Oh you mean that crap that BOT paid for to push the blame onto Joe to wash their hands of the situation? Pretty easy to blame a dead guy for their failings when he can't defend himself.

JoePa knew what was going on and turned the other way
Honestly, it is mostly a generational thing. That's just the way people handled that kind of stuff in Joe Pa's time. Not saying it is right. My 88 year old nighbor lady lets the N word fly all the time also. Try telling her she isn't supposed to say that.

Kind of a difference between saying the N word and arse fricking little boys.

Did you read the report today?
Obviously the Freeh report has holes, and he jumped to some conclusions on less than solid information.
Doesn't mean the conclusions are wrong mind you but there is some issues with the Freeh report.
Tell you this lot of confirmation bias on both sides right now.

So Newbomb, what do you expect for Joe to have done? Keep in mind this is a 5'5 80 something year old guy who was getting secondhand information that may or may not have been true and this was the first he ever heard of it and he had a job as a football coach he was trying to do as well.
Keep in mind that Freeh is the only one saying that Joe was in on this, none of the actual guilty parties said he was.

What the F*CK are you talking about??? The report blamed them ALL. Two are being criminally charged right now.
Seriously, stop making a complete f*cking a$$ of yourself.
And, if JoePa is so f*cking innocent, tell us why isn't the family suing Freeh for slander/libel?

Or why didn't they present evidence of his innocence instead of just attacking the Freeh Report?

I read the Freeh Report. Anyone with an IQ over 50 can see it was full of some bullshite.
ETA: or bullsh*t, whichever you prefer.

They did both. They attacked the inaccuracies and told the reality of it.
