I would love to see how much money Redempt gets from the diocese of BR compared to st michael

redempt is fending for itself on its own...its hard when Dr Verges doesnt give a shite about a school, but praises the others.

they can't afford to recruit anymore. Their best chance at survival was to move over by bluebonnet but that got blocked

ill have this verified by monday.

acutally, the dean of the school called me today and left a voicemail about some alumni stuff they trying to get together for homecoming.

ill swoop down on the bluebonnet move question....doubt he will get into those details, but i can put 2 + 2 together.

to whoever asked earlier... RHS has about 40 kids. Amazing since they had about 17 in early August. What a lot of people fail to realize is that they are starting about 7-8 freshmen and sophomores. Yeah, they are gonna be bad this year and probably not great next year, but with such a young roster and an energized coach, I'm sure it'll be back up sooner than later. Yeah, they probably won't be winning state titles anytime soon but they will definitely be in the mix for district titles in the near future. Now please carry on with the RHS hate

I actually have a dislike for both schools....is that cool here? The Parkview kids are a bunch of cocky little bastards.

That's not a very good excuse imo. They have schools in their district with a very thin older class and are doing much better.

I know the lack of a complete summer for the team was harmful, but I don't think you can place it squarely on youth.

It actually can go in cycles...in the mid-90's, Parkview was God-awful and the idea that they would ever be even decent was a distant one. On the other hand, a few years ago, who ever thought Redemptorist would lose 69-0 to anyone?

considering of the 3 seniors they start, 2 are soccer players that have never played football and most of the younger guys have never played as well, I'd say that it is hurting them. Not trying to make excuses for them but having kids with little to no football experience/knowledge can really limit progress. I definitely think that by time district play starts they'll be ok though

I understand. It's a tough place to be. Dunham has some similar, but not as bad, issues. They only have 6 seniors with one being a K and the another is 5'4". This leads to a ton of freshman and sophomores starting and getting a ton of playing time.

good by district? RHS is gonna go 0-9 but thats ok. the coaches will get a better schedule and build on the young players. That schedule is brutal. I think they play calvary who beat the 2 5a schols that played for state last year.

i didn't say good but thanks for putting words in my mouth. I said they'll be "ok" meaning they should be able to hang with the likes of Northeast, Capitol and Dunham. They may not win them, but they definitely won't be 69-0 games. Calvary, on the other hand, will probably be ugly, but that is to be expected

The Capitol and Northeast games should be close, especially if you stop the run as Northeast can't throw the ball.
