For a prestigious program like OH St to do this...pretty embarrassing.

Like someone said before, I would assume it was for guys like John Simon that did nothing wrong, were seniors last year, and played their heart out.

I really don't have a problem with people doing this, who gives a shite. Just a bunch of hating for no reason.

I could have sworn I was in the stadium when Alabama beat Notre Dame for the BCS NC

What the hell

People keep blatantly ignoring that the top of the ring says "Leaders" for winning the division.

Ohio State was eligible to win the division

I guess I didn't remember that.

I definitely don't have a problem with making rings then.

Y'all are one of the blue blood cfb programs and should NOT be making rings for division "titles."

tOSU doesn't make rings for winning their damn division.

It says 12-0 in big numbers on it - it's a ring for going undefeated and claiming something bigger that the bowl restriction made easier.

Memorializing an undefeated season w/o a big OOC bowl isn't really up to Ohio State's standards but who really cares...its for the players.

A. We have no direct impact on what rings are or aren't handed out to players each season, so quit saying y'all as though you're shaming us for a decision we made.

B. Who gives a shite? The team's not claiming NCAA Champs.

A. He means the school..not u and me and that seems pretty obvious.

B. He is absolutely fricking right. Its OSU not some 2nd tier school. Not to mention the fact that we were just railing on Indiana for the same thing in basketball.

Some hypocrites up in here.

The ring actually reads "Leaders Champions"

Exactly, while its somehow cool to hate OSU, why isn't this article accurate or why can't people here understand, they were Leader's Division Champs they are recognized as such, they got a trophy, they just couldn't play in the Big10 Title game... therefore, give the kids this honor and everyone stop being pathetic.

I normally wouldn't approve of things like this, but like I said before, I'm pretty sure Urban did this just to give the seniors something after they were punished for something none of them did and I have no problem with that. His crush on the senior class was pretty apparent.

I think it was more of a gesture to the seniors who got fricked over for doing absolutely nothing, but who knows.

I wouldn't say they got fricked over. If the team wasn't under sanctions maybe the mindset would have been different in some games and they lose, but now there is no way to know.

They got punished for something none of them did. I know that's how the NCAA operates, but they absolutely got fricked over.

I don't like how the NCAA runs shite either, and to a degree they did get fricked over, but just saying we don't know if they would have been unbeaten under different circumstances, if they were they'd be National Champions right now and have the fear of Saban in them for Pasadena.

Like the NCAA allowing the TAT6 to play in the Sugar Bowl when they should have been ineligible.

Apparently you didn't realize teams get rings for being in bowl games. The SEC champions get an SEC ring, a bowl ring that ends up being a national championship ring, and then another ring that is given specifically for winning the national championship by the BCS.
