Not sure how people could really knock bringing Osi aboard on an 1-2 yr deal to bridge the gap between now and when you have some young talent ready to start. This is what free agency should be about… either getting young, impactful players heading into their prime or finding veterans to plug holes when positions are in flux. Where you get into trouble is giving a guy like Osi a 5yr deal worth $45MM or something. He has to be signed as what he is…. a guy who has maybe 2 years left that can help us plug a hole.

That being said, he is coming off an ACL injury and has a history of whining for more money, regardless of what the cap hit would be. He seems to have a surgery every June so he can miss camp so he needs to sign soon to schedule it.

If Osi can play full time, it's worth it, if he's a situational pass rusher, they would have done better to keep Abraham.
