Violation Sumary: Individuals employed in the office of Student Athlete Academic Services (SAAS) engaged in academic fraud by substantially composing academic papers for three student-athletes. Further, one of the individuals provided false and misleading information when questioned by university representatives about his involvement in the academic fraud. The student-athletes involved in this case violated the principles of ethical conduct by knowingly submitting papers for academic credit that were substantially completed by other individuals.

Sport involved: Football - 2 yrs probation

Date: April 10, 1986

Violation Sumary: Improper entertainment; extra benefits; out-of-season practice; improper recruiting contacts, entertainment, inducements and transportation; tryouts.

Sport involved: Football - 2 yrs probation

Date: April 23, 1982

Violation Sumary: Improper employment; complimentary tickets; academic fraud; eligibility; unethical conduct; certification of compliance.

Sport involved: Football - 2 yr TV ban,2 yr postseason ban, 3 yrs probation

Date: January 9, 1959

Violation Sumary: Improper recruiting inducements and transportation.

Sport involved: Football 1 yr postseason ban, 2 yrs TV ban, 2 yrs probation

Date: January 11, 1957

Violation Sumary: Improper financial aid; outside fund.

Sport involved: Football - 2 yr TV ban, 1 yr postseason ban, 2 yrs probation

Of course its a false statement. Even the cleanest programs out there have bent the rules several times in the past century. What an idiotic statement.

just to calm everyone down, and I do stand by the integrity of the USC program. However inthe spirit of good humor the story goes. USC is the only school that when their players go to the NFL, they take a pay cut. Its only football, but s I said, I stand by the integrity of the program, and wish luck to all the other schools.

I don't know where you got your info, but USC kept going to bowls. INfractions yes, but minor.
I don't recall this.
