TT08,Spurs are one of the best organizations in the history of sports. Admire the shite out of that whole operation top to bottom.

Congrats to OKC. I'm a lifelong Spurs fan, but going to school in Oklahoma, I'd be proud of the Thunder if they can bring a Title here.

Combining them with what I have witnessed with LSU, and I feel pretty damn blessed.
With the Spurs, it's not just the wins, but as you noted, the personality the organization has taken on.
And this doesn't hurt nearly as much as it does losing to LA or Dallas. The OKC organization appears to be all class from top to bottom. Durant doesn't have the atrtitude you seem to get with other superstars. They have a core group of players who know their capabilities and don't give in. Their coaching staff has done a helluva job.
Come to think of it, small market and all, the Thunder and Spurs mirror each other a bit in my opinion.

There isn't a more least deserving organization in sports if they win the title. Like the players, but seriously, we stay loyal for 40 years, get the team jacked, then the fans in OKC get to feel the reward.

What section were you in?

Who gives a shite? They had their chance and they took their team for granted. Their owner wanted to rip their hearts out after the fans didn't support the Sonics like they had in the past and he didn't get his stadium. (I do not like the idea of taxpayer supported stadiums and arenas)
Instead of selling to the local group he chose OKC's ownership group and the sale was OK'd by the league and the other owners. OKC showed that it could support a team when the Hornets were here post Katrina. It's not like there was any surprise that Bennett's group was planning to move any team they bought to OKC.

Look I get the hatred for Bennett. Completely.
But I bet you won't find a single third party fan, reporter, player, etc. that would say the level of passion and intensity of Sonics fans come anywhere close to Thunder fans. Not trying to be dick, that's the reality of the situation.

That's not by accident. Sam Presti cut his teeth in the Spurs organization.

Hmm the Hornets arena was pretty empty this season when they were losing every other game. Guess we should move them too...

My Thunder are country strong and destined for greatness. Westbrook will lead us to the promised land.

It's easy to be passionate about something that you've never had that's new, especially when they're one of the best in the league. Did you ever watch the Sonics in the 90s during the playoff runs? On par with OKC fans right now.

The Sonics were known for having great fans. This city embraces their sports teams. Look at the attendance for the Sounders games

Oh I'm not at all implying you guys have bad fans. I'm just saying OKC is on a different level than most. City was literally busting at the seams for a pro team. Lots of NBA reporters have come into Chesapeake Arena during playoffs each year and said it's loudest crowd in their 20 years reporting. I hate it for Seattle but chances are no city was going to be happy losing a team to OKC. It was inevitable to happen after we absolutely showered NOLA/OKC Hornets with support.

Could happen. Don't think it's not on the table, NOLA is lucky the economy is so f'd and the NBA is kinda saturated. Give it a couple years and if the attendance and profit margins aren't there you better believe there'll be scuttlebutt to move the Hornets again, likely to Sea-Tac. Cincy might be a possibility if they can get P&G to lead corporate support. There's just not many cities that would be a good fit that doesn't already have a team or one close by.
