Some of the mock drafts have the Hornets taking Mullens with their pick and I was wanting to get some fan feedback on him.

Just looking at the stats, it's odd that a guy who measured out to 7'1" in shoes only grabbed 4.7 rebounds a game. Makes me wonder if he's weak, or lazy, or both.

What did you guys see through the season?

The guy has tremendous upside. Much more so than Koufas IMO. He could be a true big man. He is very athletic but is a definite project. He is weak and takes plays off.

He should have come back for another year IMO. He is not even close to NBA ready. But he could be a dominating C in the league if he pans out and works hard in three years or so.

Very immature. Note weak mustache!
Not real coachable. Intelligence has been questioned.
Didn't do well when challenged.

If you don't need him for 2 years then he could be a good pick.

7'1" with a serious vertical for a guy that big.

Other than that what they all said.

Good size/potential. Don't really think he's weak (not "strong" and he can get stronger, but not weak), do think he's lazy. Like rocket said, he's not exactly a genius, either. I personally don't think he'll amount to anything truly special, and if he does, it won't be for at least 3 years, but who knows what he can do with an NBA coaching staff.

He most likely would have if he hadn't been forced to go to college. At worst he would've been a top 5 based on "potential".
