If someone would have swatted the ball to the ground before the WR hit the ground would it have been a fumble? Of course not. WR never gained possession before going out of bounds.

It took the defender's back and the WR's hands to make that "catch." Why not call it an interception?

bullshite. He secured it immediately while still dragging his foot

It's not whether the ball is "secure," it's whether the WR gains possession of the ball before going out of bounds.

How do you secure it without having possession?

If two offensive players "catch" a ball by trapping it with a belly bump, neither gaining possession of it with their hands, and run down the field through the back of the end zone with the ball squeeze between their bellies, is that a touchdown?

This is stupid.

He has the ball in his hands.

Defenses have caught on to him. He's never had great accuracy, but he looks worse this year.

I'm ing trying to picture this. Sounds like something that would happen on an Aaron Brooks throw

Best part about it is the kid had a freak injury right before the start of last season. I think it was a Paul George bone through the skin type of injury.

Pumped for him.

6'2". 220. Was 240 coming in. He was supposed to be a starter last year but had a terrible broken leg in training camp.
