I'm sure this will be made fun of but it's just $10.

Yeah, pretty much just giving myself something else to cheer for besides LSU and Vandy. I mainly joined 5D to put money on LSU winning it all. I also went ahead and grabbed Mizzou @ SC(-5), LSU(-4.5) @ UF, and UF vs UGA (-3.5).

Just tried to do this on 5D. Does not allow.
Well damn. Would seem like easy money to make a bet on the top 2 SEC teams to win the SECCG and the NCG.

Interesting. I may put some $$$ down on that one myself.

Texas A+M
Texas A&M has suspended starting safety Howard Matthews and starting LB Steve Jenkins (61 tackles LY) for Thursday’s opener at La. Tech.

LSU has struggled in a big way at The Swamp historically.

LSU is 3-2 in the Swamp in the last decade and the talent/experience gap between the two teams is wider than it has been in a while.
This isn't Spurrier's or Urban's Gators. Terrible O-Line, inexperienced QBs. I think they're an over-valued team this preseason. I don't see the line getting any narrower than this and I don't see them being competitive in this game. Plus, this is pretty much guaranteed to be a CBS 3:30 game (not a night game in The Swamp).
ETA: both of those losses were to UF's national championship teams no less (06,08)

LSU won by 3 points in 2004 and 4 points in 2010. LSU has only won 4 games at The Swamp since 1985. LSU has NEVER been favored at The Swamp before.

So, basically LSU has covered 4.5 points at The Swamp once in 3 decades.

The question is if this Tiger team can cover 4.5 against this Gators team.
There's a lot of ugly stats you can put up against the Gators because of what Spurrier did there. I don't think talking 90's LSU football is relevant to today's squad.

I see what you're saying, and normally I'm a stickler for these types of stats, but with a new offensive coordinator, a terribly inexperienced QB and the fact that LSU's offense is poised to be much better this year....I wanted to jump on this one before the line moved.

Then without looking up historical spreads, I can tell you that LSU has covered ATS at least three times in the last five tries.

This is going to make me sound like an arse but I think you'll appreciate me more in 3-4 months. Historical analysis is a key tool for all legit cappers. Can this team cover 4.5? Maybe. Can they show up at the swamp and lay an egg? Absolutely. We know NOTHING about Mettenberger in a hostile environment. He may be Jarrett Lee version 2.

How do you feel about Miami of OH (+22.5) @ Ohio State?
You think Meyer has his ducks in a row on offense to cover by more than 3 TD's?

I enjoy the debate. I'm new so I'm happy to listen to strategies.

Incorrect. Florida has covered 5 of the last 7 I believe.
ETA - I see, you're just talking about at Florida.

That's not the kind of game I bet, I'd be lying if I told you I had any good advice for you. I bet dogs that I think can win SU mostly.

Definitely love the banter though, it's great to have this growing NCAAF betting community on here. Keep in mind it's my mission in life to talk people off betting public favorites so it's not that I necessarily hate the picks even, just playing devil's advocate in a way.
