USC -38

I would strongly caution anyone picking this game. Yes SC will have a huge lead but then all the starters are coming out as early as possible. SC cannot take any chances with injuries this year due to our sanctions so I would advise everyone to stay away from this game.

I just saw that. You made some valid points. Thanks.

I've been on the fence about betting on Navy to cover +16.5. I guess I'll wait till I do more research about their new QB running the option.

That hurts bama a lot.

But mostly my prediction that he'd be on the heisman watch list after week 1

Wow if Lacy is out that's going to be a HUGE blow for Bama. They won't have any RB experience.

They have a bunch of young, highly rated backs if the rumor is true.

I wouldn't be worried about talent, I'd be more worried about mistakes (fumbles, missed assignments, etc..) than anything else.

Yeah I completely agree. Having no experience and freshman backs is going to come with some mistakes. They will surely be talented but also highly likely to make miscues that could cost them a win this season.

Yeldon is allegedly ( according to bama fans) better than Barry sanders and Walter Peyton hybrid

I think he will be good personally but it will help that he has that line

Would this change your opinion at all on Bama -12.5 in week 1. I still like Bama to cover that. Of course assuming that the rumor is true.

Im pretty sure it's true

But honestly no it doesn't really. My main reason for liking bama is because of defensive speed against Michigan. Denard drops back and throws up prayers. That doesn't work against corners that the likes of bama and LSU have. I think he throws a bunch of picks and bama just pound pound pound. Bamas line is so good that it really doesn't matter who's at back with the talent they have in their backfield.

I saw Michigan with my own eyes live and was about as unimpressed as one could be. Their team speed wasn't very good either. I could keep going I just think they ppl on Michigan are michigan fans or betting with their heart

I hate bama as much as anyone. No team I hate worse but I'm logical

Eta

Not to mention this will be all but a home game for bama

Very valid points. Definitely has one of the best offensive lines in the country so they will still be pounding the rock on Michigan. Bama lost a boatload of talet on defense but we know they just reload on that side of the ball and the team speed will certainly still be there. I think shoelaces is going to be running for his life all night long.

I don't worry about bama losing guys on d. They have top classes every year with a stable of top defensive talent not to mention top 2-3 defensive coaching staffs in the country.

I will probably not bet football for the rest of the year if bama doesn't cover because that just means this season is a dirty deck like in blackjack
