On a serious note, I see this as a wide open event. With the course set up as difficult as it is I don't expect anybody to be under par.
I'd pick Luke Donald & Steve Stricker as my 2 favorites.

What you don't want to talk about tiger winning one of the top 10 events of the year?

These guys are too good .. There will be somebody under par ...

Winning score will be somewhere right around 3 under.
The only reason it's being played as a 70 is to keep the score around par

They're good. But the USGA dictates course setup. Narrow fairways and tough greens to putt tell me that the winning score will be over par.
We'll see.

I WANT AN OAKMONT SCORE

Fairways and greens is what this will be about. I like charles schwartzel a lot this week.
I don't know if he is even in it.
-1 might win it, but if you see 10 people beloit par Friday watch out Saturday. It will be moving in reverse day.

Did anyone else hear on the GC yesterday when they were talking about the 14yr old kid? Did I hear them right when they said he had a 115mph swing speed? That's ridiculous for that age. I think Matt Kuchar said it best when talking about him, "I was just trying to break 90 at that age".
Also the par 3 13 is just flat out ridiculous and unfair. If you go left you are dead, and as Phil said "we'll see you next week in Hartford"
. They shaved that whole hill so basically if you hit on the left side of the green not only will it not stay, but you might end up in the creek...and if you get lucky and don't, you'll have a severe uphill pitch that you'll more than likely end up pitching over to the other side of the green. Glad I'm just having to watch this hole.

is it possible to get this thread stickied? I'm sure it will be a busy thread come tomorrow morning.
