hughes over gracie was no upset at all.

royce never did enough mma training to compete in the modern era. and who could blame him, hell he was already 40 at that time. made a lot of money with seminars and his jiu jitsu academy.

I'd say Hughes over Gracie UFC 60 in 2006.

Hughes was the huge favorite in that fight

Silva was dominated in early round 1 ad taunted because he wanted no part of being taken down again. The fight was never e en close. That was a dominant performance which led to a desperate silva trying to toe weidman o of his game and although he did weidman still clocked him

This! Although Silva is always cocky and taunts early in the fight you could see that Weidman was dominating Silva on the ground. Silva realized this and taunted even more trying to get weidman out of his game and piss him off so that he'd just try and stand up and knock him out. It worked and I thought that would cost Weidman, but he beat Silva at his own game and made him look silly. I loved seeing those eyes roll back when weidman landed that blow.

I thought he would, I mean he is 38. In the post fight interview he talked like he was he said Weidman was the best and that he doesn't want a rematch. Said Weidman is the champ now and that he was tired. Joe then asked him if he was retiring and he said no he just doesn't want to fight for the belt anymore.

There is more left for him than there has been in the last couple years now

He got embarrassed

I think he comes back and tries to make an example of weidman

He got embarrassed for sure. So you think he tries to get a rematch with Weidman despite his post fight interview?

Vitor deserves a shot next. Let Anderson win another fight or two before he gets back to Weidman. He didn't come to fight and he didn't respect his opponent. So he doesn't deserve an immediate rematch.

vitor needs to fight without Dorian Yates levels of testosterone in him if he wants to deserve a title shot

I'm surprised how many people think it was a fluke punch or even that silva dominates a rematch.

Weidman is a better version of sonnen who dominated silva for 6 rounds. Silva wants no part of a rematch

Few comments here...

Vitor definitely deserves the next shot. He has been as impressive as any MW for several years now. I still think Silva was fortunate to connect with the spectacular front kick and I still think Belfort woudl beat Silva in a rematch and is the better fighter. You look at Belfort's record and I really think if Anderson had fought the same guys at the same time as Belfort, Anderson would have about the same record. Weidman-Belfort will be a good one, although Weidman's wrestling gives him the edge.

Anderson was not intentionally disrespecting Weidman. He was baiting him. As I posted earlier in the thread, the ONLY chance Anderson had was an early KO. He tried to anger Weidman into an over aggressive mistake on his feet. It obviously didn't work, but as I have been saying, Weidman is a much better fighter than Silva. They can rematch all they want but Weidman will win 3 out of every 4 and Anderson only has a punchers chance and nothing more.

Yep. Said this a half dozen times this week. I haven't bet on a UFC fight in 3 years, but I was more confident in this outcome than any title fight with reasonable odds in a long time.
