I was saying in the Jazz series that they had to get their shite together because they have been playing horribly.

Okay I am about off to bed but here is what I take from game one. Houston came out on a mission and played a great game one. The Lakers were straight out flat all night with the exception of one run. There is a saying you live and die by the three and that was the Lakers story today. They ended the night 2-18 from three point land. Shooting just over 11 percent. They had a lot of wide open three's tonight and did not sink them. Fisher was 0-4, Ariza 0-4, Vujacic 0-2, Kobe 1-7 and Farmar 1-1. That appears to be the tale of the tape in this one. It is not that often you see all those guys struggling from deep in the same game. Another thing I think the Lakers screwed up on was Shannon Brown. He was a great spark in the Utah series, faster than Fisher and he only saw 13 minutes. Four Rockets players were in double figures and so they need to get more defense on Brooks. He read the defense well and toyed with them all game. Good game Houston see you on Wednesday.

How come so many of you are Lakers fans?
Or is it more of an anti-Rockets thing?

There seem to be a few Lakers fans on here.

a few Laker fans and a few Hornet fans who just hate the Rockets. I don't know if we actually have a Laker fan on here though who is from LA

I think it has more to do with most of us growing up in Louisiana.
Of course we are naturally going to pull for the Hornets. Who just happen to be in the same division as the Rockets, so it's natural for us not to like the Rockets. Then you factor in that Shaq, from LSU, played in LA for years....well, there you go.... Laker Fans in LA & TX.

I like what Sir Charles said after the game; the Rockets beat the Lakers.
For all the stuff they put up about how badly LA played, Houston didn't shoot the ball that well either. I don't expect Houston to have another 0-4 night from Battier from 3 or another night where Wafer doesn't have a point.
Originally I had this series at 80/20 for LA; now I have it as 50/50 and am feeling much better.
Anyone think the Rockets are cautious with Yao in Game 2 since they have seized home court? I say you see where you are at about halftime, and see if you can put a huge dagger into LA.
