I think Oregon's in the same place that we were in the early 90's.

Well, one touchdown was with like 10 seconds left but whatever.

Every team had a chance to score a garbage td. Besides, I am more excited about the unveiling of the 2012 Ducks team.

I am sure LSU wanted to score down 21-0.

The LSU offense scored a total of nine points on Alabama in two games. A real fricking juggernaught there.

LSU offense scored 33 points against Oregon.

14 of those points were against 2nd and 3rd string guys.

LSU was far and away the better team in that game and it wasn't even close. It's pathetic that you are trying to prove otherwise.

I don't think the offense gave a damn at that point.

They will never win a national title with Chip Kelly as coach because he doesn't know jack about defense and doesn't bother hiring people who do.

That is bullshite, dude. The game was 33-20 in the fricking 3rd quarter. No

You do realize that Oregon's defense was no where near full strength for that game, right? We faced your defense. It is really not an apples to apples comparison.

Your offense was pretty underwhelming.

Great fricking comeback bro.

You are right, that Oregon defense is championship quality and they will dominate for years.

By the way, there are at least 40 running back's in the country better than DeAnthony Thomas.

You do realize LSU's offense wasn't at full strength right?

Didn't have their starting QB and arguably our best offensive lineman, not to mention they lost their best RB and WR from a season ago.

Oregon was overwhelmed in every single aspect of that game. LSU was better on offense, defense, special teams. LSU also had more depth and was much faster and athletic.

To put it simply, Oregon did not belong on the same field with LSU.

Coach Neal has been putting dbs in the NFL at an astonishing clip - Jarius Byrd, Patrick Chung, Walther Thurmond, TJ Ward and most recently Cliff Harris and Eddie Pleasant.

Coach Azzinaro was Freeney's DL coach. Kelly brough him in to replace him and exacted the kind of effort that got Oregon to the NCG with 2/3 star talent.

Since Chip's arrival, Oregon switched schemes to the 3-4 and in two year he had an defense that in 2008 was underwhelming to the #11 defense in yards per play defended. We also were #2 in turnovers.

Chip has made a concerted effort to get better dlinmen and you will this realized in 2012.

Combined pro bowls, all-pros?

So you admit Chip can't recruit worth a shite when it comes to defense?

You are such a joke of a poster.

Both were awful QB's. When both are on their games (which was rare), Jefferson was the better QB.

Not to mention that they had been preparing all summer to start JJ in that game.

Oregon scored 13 points against LSU's first string defense. Kelly even admitted after the game that Oregon was not used to competing against the kind of athletes LSU had.

Jarius Byrd was an all pro FS his rookie season in 09. TJ Ward had a 123 tackles his rookie season in 2010. Walter Thurmond is a starting nickle backer CB for seattle (beset by injury). Patrick Chung is the reigning starter for the Pats at FS. Byrd was a pro-bowler. ALL drafted since 2009.

It is impressive considering all of those guys had no stars when they were recruited.

Lost me here. I'm not a huge lee guy but he was the better quarterback overall and it isn't close, IMO.

Oregon's problem is not that they don't have a good defense. Their defense is actually pretty good. It is just that Chip Kelley can't seem to understand that when you constantly run hurry up against a great team, and you get stopped, you put your own defense in a bind.
