With the next pick the 49ers select Scooby Wright OLB out of Arizona. If he is fully recovered that will be a steal in the 3rd round.
Pros: Play making force who in 2014 had 14 sacks and over 140 tackles.
Cons: Doesnt have ideal speed and injury concerns linger.

With the next pick the Jaguars go with a bit of a reach and select Yannick Ngakoue from Maryland. He can play OLB or DE. Already has plenty of experience going against NFL caliber tackles in the BIG Ten.
Pros: Lots of experince, 13.5 sacks last year. Big need postion with high ceiling.
Cons: Not the fastest OLB prospect but if he can get some more strength could translate to Fowlers back up and a great future tandem.

Ngakoue will be a big time player IMHO

I'll take a bit of a risk with the 70th pick for the ravens:

Kendall Fuller CB VT

He's had some big injuries but the talent is undeniable (was a projected top 20 pick for a while) and the former is the only thing hiding him back from being a possible pro bowl talent.

One of the best cover corners in college with good size and upside.

Ravens need secondary help so I'll take the risk in the 3rd round where I'm comfortable.

Just came out today that while they fixed his ACL they also had to have a microfracture surgery. If he comes back from that, he can be a great player. Definitly a high-risk high-reward type picl

They need a back could have picked Perkins but Collins was a beast in the SEC

Let's give Chicago their QB of the future, Connor Cook out of Michigan State. Only thing you can knock him for is accuracy and leadership, which sounds familiar to another guy Bears fans are familiar with...

He actually could end up being the best QB out of this class.

Miami Dolphins select
Tyler Matakevich LB Temple

quote:

The 2015 Bronco Nagurski Award winner and three-time first-team All-American Athletic Conference pick isn't the biggest player on the field but is usually among the most productive. This four-year starter in the middle accumulated over 100 tackles in each season for the Owls, totaling 493 for his career. In his sophomore year, he led the nation with 8.8 solo tackles a game. And his tackles aren't just catching ball carriers after they?ve gone through the hole, as he's had 40 stops behind the line of scrimmage. Add in five interceptions and five pass breakups during his award-winning senior campaign, and it appears there's not much Matakevich can't do.

Tampa Bay Bucs select a safety, TJ Green out of Clemson (6-2, 209).

He was a workout warrior at the combine, running a 4.34 40.

From NFL.com:

Sources Tell Us "There is a buzz going around about him from some people I talk to on a regular basis but I'm not sure where it is coming from. He's fast, but what else?" -- NFC executive

NFL Comparison Cedric Thompson

Bottom Line Height/weight/speed prospect who appears to be heating up around draft circles. With just one year of full-time starting experience and so much dead tape due to deep coverage responsibilities, teams will have a limited sample size to operate from, but traits usually win out. If Green hits a fast 40 at the combine (as expected), his stock will get a bump. Green?s coverage potential is evident, but he might need time on the bench to watch and learn early on.

I felt like everybody quit, so I gave up. But let's keep it going.

FYI Jalen Mills is still available that pick was replaced earlier.
