Right, Ebron went 9 last year? Correct? But he was a super elite athlete a la Jimmy and Gronk.
But yeah everybody is searching for that elite TE. By the time they find it Belli and Payton are going to find a new scheme or plan that's ahead of the game to revolutionize their offense, leaving everybody behind them rendered obsolete. Haha

They thought Maxx was that kind of athlete until his combine. I still think he is. He's a great pass catcher
Also remember that neither Graham or Gronk went in the first round
Veron davis, Jermaine Gresham, Greg Olsen are a couple other first round TEs semi recently

True. I remember them both going in the 3rd. I remember Graham being a project that worked out big time. I can't recall what Gronk's prospect was coming out if college tho. I feel like if he was half as good in college as he was now he should have been an early second rounder minimum.
ETA: oh wait Gronk was an early second
for some reason I thought he went in the third like Jimmy. But admittedly I wasn't as much of a draftnik then as I am now.

Gronk was a 2nd rounder. He was Gronk in college but had major injury issues in college, most worrisome was chronic back issues

But yeah back on topic, I really do think whoever gets Maxx at the end of first beginning of second is going to get a baller. I just don't know if he's necessary for the Saints.
I would like to go back and research rookie TEs in the league, but depending on what team he goes to I might eye him at the end of drafts in FF.

Rookie TEs historically are pretty terrible their rookie year, you draft them for year 2 and beyond
Gronk is one of the few in league history to come in and straight ball out like he did (10 TDs) but he's a Gronk of nature
I wouldn't draft him if I were the saints in their position

Let's get Day 4 under way folks

Redskins acquired FS Dashon Goldson and a 2016 seventh-round pick from the Bucs in exchange for a 2016 sixth-round pick. It's amazing the Bucs were able to get anything for Goldson, even if it is just a late-rounder. Goldson has been a massive bust since inking a five-year, $41.25 million contract that included $22 million guaranteed prior to the 2013 season. The Redskins were so desperate for safety help that they're taking on Goldson's $8 million cap hit. He'll be the favorite to start next to new SS Jeron Johnson.
Might change a couple draft boards

They probably realized after Landon Collins, this safety class flat out sucks
Posted on 4/3/15 at 9:44 am to GeauxAggie972
I think there will be good safety's that come out of this class, but they are classified as a corner right now

No, I was about to say someone should pick for DST. Think he already missed a pick so someone can take over permanently for him

Yeah if anybody who doesntbhave a team wants to take over for his team's that's fine. In the meantime, somebody make the pick.

ok, are you wanting to takee over his teams too?

With the second pick of the second round, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select OT Jake Fisher, Oregon.
The Bucs hope they landed their future franchise QB in the first, now they take a tackle to keep him upright and add depth to a weak OL.

with the 35th pick in the MSB NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders select Owa Odighizuwa, DE, UCLA
Raiders grabbed a cornerstone at WR for Derek Carr, now it's time to give their other sophomore stand-out on defense a rookie to help his cause. Owa steps in at DE with Mack and Sio Moore behind him. Owa will need some coaching on pass rushing skills and techniques, but he'll come in and stop the run from day one.
