Some regulars might not like it but I refuse to take most of the people you hear on every other show. Most of them have got the clue. Gary, MFP, Carl the Cat and some others never call our show. They know that they won't get on. I don't think it makes me a dick. For the most part I try to do what I find entertaining and good. I talked with a host from Columbus and he told me to do what you enjoy. I know that I don't enjoy 10 minute phone calls from people who don't add anything to the show. The guys that call up with "How about them Tigahhhhssss" then ramble on and on adding nothing new to the convo are of no use to me.

This is one of the reason I enjoy the show....after getting the same set of clowns hour after hour, it's nice to have a change.

I have NEVER said you need to take 10 min callers on your hour-long show. Thats NOT the problem JOSH. I don't care who the caller is. Any caller that calls tfh gets to talk for about 30 seconds and then you and Matt hang up on the dude and then talk about what he said for 10 mins. That is whats so bad. Take a little time to have a discussion with the caller while he is on the air, instead of talking for 10 mins after you hang up on him.

why would someone want to listen to a disscusion between random baton rouge guy and the radio host?
I basically listen to local sports talk for 20 minutes a day or 2 hours on tuesday and thursday b/c i have no other options. I really would only choose to listen to sports talk radio to A)hear a host that knows what he's talking about of b)hear an expert guest. either way I can learn something. I learn nothing from hearing bill from baton rouge call to say I agree with everything you said buddy

If you listen to the program I don't proclaim to be an expert. I do a lot of research going into the show and I know what we are talking about before hand. Take today for instance...we talked about the SEC East. I know that it's a close race for the title and I know that it's gonna be tough to get 4 teams in from that division but I didn't know all the particulars. I didn't want to go on the air not knowing all the info so I researched it and wrote it all down. There is no crime in doing that. I'd much rather hear a prepared host than someone who has to look up an answer to your questions on air. That is why we have topic driven radio.

Thats why YOU screen callers josh? If they don't want to talk about what you write down, they DON'T get on the air????????? Thats what it sounds like!!! I would much rather hear a host that CAN answer what ever question comes there way. It means they now there shite!!! Think about it.

I meant to say I don't proclaim to be an expert. I'm truly not arrogant enough to believe I know everything. Why do you think I choose to have guests on to talk about topics? Who knows more about the coaching situation at Auburn? Josh Innes or a guy that covers the team everyday? Wh knows mroe about UK bball. Me or a guy that covers the team daily? I screen calls and if the caller doesn't want to talk about our topic then he doesn't get on. It's not arrogance. It's for flow. As I mentioned the other day, someone called up and wanted to talk about field turf at Tiger stadium when we were talkinga bout LSU basketball. It doesn't fit

no they should have guest who know something. Not scotty from olindes, not fish. real experts. Rome can do a show with no callers, i know he takes them from time to time but his callers are pretty good, Mike and Mike no callers, Coherd barely any callers.
