I just traded . . . for Calvin Johnson. Some may shake their heads at me, but I think that with Williams gone, he'll get even more opportunites at the ball.
Only if they direct snap it to Rudy and he throws a half-back pass to Calvin.

First guy said:

I get Chad Johnson and give up Steve Slaton.
Voodoo responded:

You can do a WHOLE lot better than Johnson for Slaton IMO.
My two cents:

Dear first guy, quit smoking crack. Are you kidding me? In my league, Slaton has 68 points to Ocho Idioto's 27 and Slaton has had a bye, and Chad has not. Slaton has actually been seen with a football, whereas Chad has not. Slaton's team is improving; sadly, the Bengals are not.

Do not make this trade and next time check with a sober friend before proposing trades like this one.

I'm offering Mcfadden and Delhomme to anyone in my league for another RB/TE/DST...any decent combo. I still have Favre, LT, Stewart and Slaton. Should I rethink that offer?
No, but I seriously doubt you get too many bites. You're not really offering that much.

Brad Johnson v. StL
Derek Anderson v. Washington
Jason Campbell v. Cleveland

Leaning Brad Johnson, but really, Brad Johnson?

the guy is trying to get rid of T.O because he fears Roy Williams is going to take away from him and T.O is getting old so I think you should pass

I was really biting my tongue
the only thing that I was thinking was that maybe the guy thought Green would be stealing carries now ...but Chad Johnson? Maybe they signed Boomer and I missed it somewhere.

Ok, McFadden versus Dominick Rhodes?

Addai is out 2-4 weeks...

Rhodes. McFadden is going to continue to play from behind and not get a bunch of carries.

Ride that Rhodes train, Chicken..

What do you think if I would drop Mcfadden and pick up D Rohdes?

Nope. I wouldn't do this. Rhodes is only going to generate points if Addai is out. Is he "out"? I haven't heard anything since Dungy said his injury wasn't serious. When you drafted McFadden, you should have known he be inconsistent. Let's face it,the only consistent thing in Oakland is the inconsistency. I don't think you're improving your team with Rhodes, and I think McFadden is a much better bet to rip one long than Rhodes. Unless Addai is out, I wouldn't part with the rook.
Amending my prior opinion after reading this:
quote:

Addai expected to miss 2-4 weeks

Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports Indianapolis Colts RB Joseph Addai (hamstring) is expected to miss two to four weeks with a slightly torn hamstring, according to a source.
You'll only have Rhodes for a little while, but he's likely to put up more consistent numbers in that time.

I'm hurting this week at the #2 RB slot with MDJ on bye. Was considering picking up Melwelde Moore, especially after I saw this:
quote:

Parker's Week 7 status uncertain

Gerry Dulac, of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reports Pittsburgh Steelers RB Willie Parker (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 15, after aggravating his knee injury. His status for Week 7 is uncertain.
I have on my roster Ricky Williams at home v. Baltimore and Maurice Morris traveling across the country to play Tampa Bay (although the game is at night). I could pick up Sammy Morris or Kevin Faulk who play Monday night at Denver, but I see that as really desperate.

Any thoughts about Mewelde?

When he's gotten the chance, he's been a great fantasy back. I would play him over all of the other guys you mentioned.

I don't know Royal's status,so Stokeley is hard to judge, but I don't see how they'll get Roy in for more than one play on such short notice. With installing Brad and all, I think they may try to get him on the field, but how much can he do? I'd go with Brandon.

I say he doesn't do it and you have to learn to live with Forte. Just be thankful you drafted him instead of Maroney.

I love having Forte and I traded LT to get him (plus wayne and de. jackson).

he just countered with Forte/Moore/McClain and I'd get Jennings/Grant/B. Jackson.

it would leave me with

RB-Graham,Grant,B.Jackson,Fargas
WR- Wayne,Colston,Jennings,De.Jackson, and probably Galloway

I think I have to do this, especially since I'd have a chance to turn and deal a WR for a better RB

shite, I did not know that about Parker. I just picked up Moore as well. Yesterday, I picked up Sammy for this week (not knowing this about Parker) so let me know if you find out anything more about Willie. Without delving way too much into this, I would think Mewelde Moore would be the best bet (depending on Parker's status obviously).

This is what I have as of 2 minutes ago :
pick 2
S. Morris vs Denver
M. Pittman vs NE
M. Moore vs Cincy

Bench (killing me this week)
J. Addai (out 2-4 weeks)
M. Turner (bye)
C. Buckhalter (bye)

*The only other guy on my bench is Roddy White (with a bye as well) but the rest of my lineup looks like this
K. Orton
J. Cotchery
A. Johnson
G. Jennings
C. Cooley
R. Longwell
Titans

think I can pull it out?
