I'm guessing none wanted anything to do with it.
"Bob Stanley and Alex Gonzalez refused to be interviewed for this documentary."

i'm sure the guy is a cocksucker, but him pointing really added nothing to the end result
They weren't kicking him out, they were trying to protect whoever did it. They were a few seats away from him. Take that and factor in him saying that he drew back when he saw Alou and you have the makings of a massive douche.

the fact that Bartman still wont come public could speak volumes about Cubs fans
i dont think it has anything to do with "Cubs fans".
i think he is just humble and doesn't want to be in the limelight, esp for something like this.

I think he knows that there are pusses like that sales rep that (to this day) think that taking a swing at Bartman is a sign of Cubs manhood.

Seriously? The Sales Rep guy in the film has a look in his eye when talking about Bartman that looks like 8 years later, he still wants to kill him.

Have you ever been to an LSU game? Hell, just read a few posts from the rant. There are retards like that everywhere.

so by doing an interview it will make it that much worse?

I don't think it would do it any better. I believe that Cubs fans would just renew their hatred for him and he would go right back to how it was in late 03 early 04.

Nah, I think most of them probably realize just how stupid it was. Not all, but most.

fact of the matter is that this all happen in the top of the 8th inning with a runner on 2B and one out
the count was full when the infamous foul ball was hit by Luis Castillo
Prior promptly walks Castillo and throws a wild pitch at the same time to put runners on the corners with one out.
After that, Prior gives up the single to LF to IRod to make the score 3-1 with runners at 1B and 2B with one out
THEN THE UNFORGIVABLE ALEX GONZALEZ ERROR
the inning is over. it's done. going to bottom 8th up 2. IRod is slow as shite and Miggy Cabrera, even at 20 years old, is not considered a speed burner.
then the wheels fall off and Prior/Farnsworth/Remlinger can't buy an out
Alex Gonzalez totally fricked up Steve Bartman's life. I don't know how you can look at it otherwise.

Maybe, but honestly I don't believe that. That would imply that they are rational and this entire situation has proven that they are not.

yeah .. i loved that guy ... maybe he needs to watch the replay and slow it down a few more times and get back with the world on how much he actually "drew back" when he saw alou ..

I wonder if Bartman is still friends with his brother and that chick. They did pretty much abandon him at the stadium...

Alex Gonzalez made $30.2 MM during his career. He could throw Bartman $500K for being the biggest sports scapegoat of a decade
I dont think Bartman would take it.
I kinda laugh at some of the Chicago fans though. As someone said earlier, it must have been really rough being a Bears fan in the 80s and a Bulls fan in the 90s

If bartman doesn't do it than someone should burn the stadium down or something drastic and have a sign saying I did what bartman should have done a long time ago

quote:That was the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Like Bartman didn't know what to do with a pop fly because he couldn't hear what was going on. He is in the fricking stands in the first row watching what is going on, whatever happened in that headset had no relevance to the argument they were trying to make. Also, the attorney who wrote a novel was a huge piece of shite.
I liked the thing about the seven second radio delay, and how Bartman didn't hear the play until it was over.
